A quick post from NJ, northern New Jersey.
On the way here, Jeannie took me on her normal commute from work to home. About an hour and 15 minutes (I believe) on a normal day. The NJ Turnpike, then some other crazy road... It all about drove me nuts. I love driving. I love taking an open road and turning it into my purpose... no destination, just a purpose of going.
Today though, wasn't at all like that. It was crazy. It looked like army ants, the red angry type.. marching for miles and miles ahead of me. A slow, wicked nasty march. I dont know how people do that daily, I mean I once was in it. That nasty daily grind to and from Chevy Chase, MD. Ya know? Down 50 W, onto the 495 loop. Craziness.
Never do I want to be in that again.
Or do I want Jeannie to be in it for that matter. I can say that now, because my lovely gf now has a lovely apartment 7 minutes away from work. No more paying tolls daily by EZ-Pass. No more filling up the Honda every couple day... no no. Ontop of that excitement of no more crazy ant marching... she is TWO blocks from the beach. Sorry, the shore as people up here call it.
That was my quick rant while up here in Northern New Jersey. I shall be back to the norm on Wednesday... and then I will really post some quality text and pix.
