My Ass Hates Me
My nose is conjested and the pressure is horrible. Oh, and my ass is a ton of bricks. I am in pure happiness though. Spring has sprung, and riding is underway. First ride of the season was commuting to and from work yesterday. With all the lost miles added on I would say I rode a total of 45-50 miles easily. My normal commute would be 35 miles, but the main path I would be taking is still snowed in. To work I didn't get too lost, it was daytime and I could see the signage pretty well (I did take a couple wrong turns though). Now riding home last night was a different matter. I missed a turn and went 8 miles in the wrong direction. Started seeing signs for towns that are south of the city - while I'm trying to go north east of it. Finally got situated, and had to back track. It was good times shared by me and the Kelly. The Kelly is outfitted in commuter style. Fenders front & rear, lights all over and fatter 700x35c tires... she seems to be happy being ridden though. I'm going to let my body recope and take a slow ride tomorrow on the new c'dale. Wednesday I'll ride in/home. Same Friday. Maybe Thursday depending how I feel. But I need to work myself back into riding.I also don't want to be too tired Saturday. I gotta drive to MD after work @ 6p. Roughly 8-9 hours in the car, nothing too bad. Then I get to see my folks, grab some stuff I left at home - then drive to Philly to be with the gf for her surgery and 24th BIRTHDAY!
