Useless post. I had written up about my girlfriends run in with a cockroach last night, a iPod Shuffle I have been demo’n, my new bike, and my vacation next week. I backspaced it all. It’s that time of the year that I need to be working more and wanting to ride whenever else I can. This leads to no time for good thought out posts.
Life is good.
There’s a blog by the name of Enjoying the Ride – I enjoy the blog and the title. Everyday that my feed burner boots up & I read that title it gives me a quick glimpse of what it all is about.
The gf has been here for a couple days now – reality is slowly soaking in. Granted I’m not sure exactly what reality means. I built up my new 29er last night & I’m going riding most the weekend. She is cool with it – I’m allowed to go ride my bike in the woods for a great number of hours & she is ok with it. What did I do to deserve this? Oh yes I must go eat pancakes and do the dishes.
Here’s the having a wonderful girlfriend & great job that allows me to have good things in life (like bikes & pancakes.)
Found a site this morning after reading a couple comments on a friends blog. Seems like the guy goes blog hopping and then posts about what he has heard or not heard about that person. Like he posted about Joe’s site – Single Speed Outlaw. Basing it all on what he read. Hmm what is he going to come up for me? I know I have many hidden secrets & not everyone gets the warm fuzzies about me.
I daily wonder why the hell people have so much negative vibes rolling through them. If Scott posted a photo that I had taken – I wouldn’t care. If someone told a story that was really MY story, who cares – it’s a blog. Stories are stories and this is the world wide web.
The pups been sad for the past few days. Trying to cuddle, being needy & all that jazz. I chalked it up to the need to be close to me since we are on the back stretch of Jeannie moving down (it’s today did I say that already??) After Fiona’s little accident the other night at my friends house I decided to make an appointment for her at the vet. Hopefully nothing is seriously wrong with her and it’s a UTI or something along those lines that can be fixed with some pills.
Today should be interesting. I hope to be busy at work to keep me preoccupied until my lovely rolls into town. I have a view errands to run at lunch but other than that I am basing my sanity onto work.
Been rolling through life for the past few days. Work was a bit crazed during the tail end of last week. Saturday evening was a BBQ for Dolby – check out Mel’s site for photos. Sunday I woke up at the buttcrack of dawn to drive to Dark Mountain in Wilkesboro, NC with my accomplice for the day, Theresa. I didn’t die & I came in last – the real race report will be over at Black Sheep’s blog sometime tomorrow.
The rest of my weekend was a bit of a blur. I took a nap after getting home from the race. Got the news that my lovely pup was in deep dog shit over at a friends house. She had decided to take a leak in their bedroom. Stupid dogs. I slept most this morning & then went for a mountain bike ride to spin out my legs from yestedays effort.
In other news – Monkey Phile is back alive.
In other other news – my girlfriend will be here in Charlotte tomorrow night. Be excited people, I know I am.
Testing out an iPod shuffle tomorrow morning out on the trails of Renaissance Park. Thanks to Ben for letting me borrow it for a few days to see how it works out compared to my full blown 40GB iPod.
