Last week I received several emails alerting me about the Salsa CroMoto Stem Recall. As it is probably my most photographed bicycle there are many folks that know about the bike or have seen it in one form or another.
I have been holding on to a pair of Misfit
FUBar2 handlebars and a
FUgly stem. This morning I quickly took off the death stem, as beautiful as it is with it's matching paint and Salsa decal, to install the shiny FU parts. The sweep of the handlebars remind me of something that you would steer a space age rocket ship with. The
Ergon grips and sweet
Velo Orange bell fit wonderfully on there. The silver contrast well with the rest of the bike and the fit is wonderful! Now to find pedals for the bike again as I stole them off a couple days back for another ghetto build.
BAD stem! Now go sit in your box until Salsa tells you what to do next.
