Reverb 10: Losing the Fat from Life

This post is part of my Reflections of 2010 through out December with the help of  #Reverb10.
The second prompt of Reverb 10 :
Writing. What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to your writing — and can you eliminate it?

The Mentality of There is Always Tomorrow

It seems as time goes on there is more things added to daily life to "help" you get things done.   Email on phones, fast food restaurants at every corner and events to network.   All of these things have created a life that is consumed by consumables, and life, years, months, days and moments... are temporary.  I'm surrounded by those that believe tomorrow is another day and they will have a chance to try again.  They can call their mother tomorrow, they can go to the gym..tomorrow, they can go for that bike ride...tomorrow.  That is how I treat my life as well.  Tomorrow I can do that, I can ride, write, blog or call my mother.

Weeding Out the Fat

Literally I need to weed out the fat.   I was never a procrastinator, I like to get things done today so that I have tomorrow.  The question above is meant to reflect on making time to write, but I'm personally going to reflect on how make time to live.
  • The easiest thing to do would be to restructure my sleeping habits.  Get up early, make the coffee and get to the gym.
  • Take a lunch.   Lately with the crunch at work I haven't been taking a lunch, this hour could be used to write, walk or pay bills.
  • Lose my fat.  I think that's a mental block in itself!  20 lbs by the end of 01, 2011
Thanks for listening, I have many Reverb 10 prompts to finish up today.
