If you read my real blogs, the ones I keep updated with fresh content and don’t rant on too often, you’ll know that I’m in Orlando, FL for Cervelo Brainbike.  I’ll be learning new things about Cervelo, talking tech and getting to ride all their new 2010 bikes.  You’ll be able to utilize my new found knowledge at Cool Breeze Cyclery of course.  (Had to plug the bike shop)

I also took delivery yesterday of a Contour HD in which will be used during these test rides tomorrow and Friday.   Look for my helmet cam videos and Cervelo reviews soon!

Flying in this morning from Charlotte, I arrived to Orlando around 8:45am and walked around the airport some.  Once finding where all of us “Cervelo peeps” were meeting, I went to venture off as we will be at the airport until 12.

While walking I made some interesting Orlando Musings

There seems to be a mall in the middle of the Orlando airport, where no one speaks English and try to push a ton of product at you.

Count, not one but TWO Walt Disney World Stores in the airport.

It happens to be spring break in Florida, the airport seems to have a huge age divide.  Half are retired folks traveling back home (Florida) and the other half are college folks either leaving or arriving, talking about boobs, drinks and clubbing.

Sea World is big thing in the airport, the photo above is large and in charge above all of the escalators. I wonder if this is the killer whale and trainer? Anyone?

I need two things for all these travels.  A wireless card for my laptop for when the airports either have shitty wireless, or none.  And finally, a wordpress agent for my desktop that doesn’t need an internet connection to work from.  Mucho time spent sitting around that I could be formatting and editing.  Textedit/word only can do so well.

Reason for this post are these awesome socks that I feel like wearing for the next 3 months straight! (How many pairs is that…)

Where should you start with saving weight on your bike?

#1 Rotating Weight

Wheels go first, doable look your tire setup then cranks.

#2 Base Components

Handlebar, stem, seat post

#3 Lastly

Replace wear items last, I try to save weight where I can but don’t put on the lightest headset and bottom bracket if I’m going to wear through them twice as fast.
